Job Purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Support Intern to act as a bridge between our Compliance Department and the Data Team. Your primary mission is to ensure that all data requests are accurately fulfilled and that the resulting dashboards meet the high standards required for compliance monitoring.
Key Accountabilities (1)
- Requirement Coordination: Receive dataset requests from the Compliance team and communicate these requirements clearly to the Data team.
- Data Validation (Excel): Perform "sanity checks" on datasets provided by the Data team. Use Excel to verify that the data is accurate, complete, and aligns with the original request from Compliance.
- Dashboard Testing (Power BI): Review and test dashboards built on Power BI. You will be responsible for ensuring that the visualizations and metrics correctly reflect the underlying data and satisfy Compliance's reporting needs.
- Reporting & Feedback: Identify discrepancies or bugs in datasets/dashboards and follow up with the Data team for necessary adjustments.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences
- Excel Proficiency (Intermediate): Strong grasp of formulas (VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIFS), Pivot Tables, and data filtering/sorting to validate large datasets.
- Power BI Knowledge: Ability to navigate Power BI reports, understand data models, and verify if the dashboard logic meets the business requirements.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when working with numbers; a "detective" mindset to spot inconsistencies.
- Communication Skills: Able to translate business needs into technical requests and vice versa.
- Education: Final-year student or undergraduate in Business Information Systems (MIS), Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
